IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME (IBS)
TREATING IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME SUCCESSFULLY BY HYPNOSIS THERAPY
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) treated in Hanover - Hypnosis treatment by Alexander Seiler
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is often related to psychosomatic causes.
Hypnotherapy is a highly promising approach for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome and has already achieved countless successes in this context, which have also been confirmed by several clinical studies. Hence hypnosis is one of the most effective therapies for IBS from a medical point of view.
Hypnosis offers a wide range of therapeutic approaches starting with the investigation of the real causes by means of hypnoanalysis up to deep relaxation for the harmonization of the autonomic nervous system and for the activation of the self-healing powers, in order alleviate the symptoms.
Hypnosis has been mentioned in a number of articles* and reports in the media in relation to irritable bowel syndrome and therefore more and more clients are asking for hypnotherapeutic treatment on this symptomatic.

Mode of operation for hypnosis in irritable bowel syndrome
One of the greatest advantages of hypnosis in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome is its possibility to help a restless autonomic nervous system to return to a balance.
Persistent stress or a general tendency to nervousness can cause the autonomic nervous system to enter a kind of "high-voltage state", meaning it is more active even at rest periods and produces higher tension in the body compared to healthy people. That kind of restless nervous system can be measured and displayed with biofeedback devices via the galvanic skin conductivity. Affected individuals often do not realise that their body is under an increased tension for a long time or they interpret the symptoms (irritability, anxiety, sleep disturbances, stomach problems) incorrectly and look for a symptom-oriented cause ("I can't tolerate some parts of my diet..."). Time passing, this nervous overload becomes more and more obvious and the symptoms are at risk to become chronic.
One leading symptom for this problematic can be the irritable bowel syndrome. But it often comes along with one of the other symptoms mentioned above - many people report that when they are asked about them in the process of therapy approach.
The aim of hypnosis therapy in this case is to find the real reasons for the over-irritation of the nervous system and the resulting over-irritation of the intestinal nerves. Irritations can be stopped and the nervous system will be brought back into a healthy state by means of targeted relaxing trances.
